Witterings from an old indie kid

Lowtide – Julia/Spring

lowtidejuliaThe latest single from Melbourne dreampoppers Lowtide is a cover of Julia by French post punk band Asylum Party. It’s a cracking cover with the shimmering guitars and joyous joint vocals really doing the original justice.

However it’s the flip side Spring that deserves the plaudits here as it develops into a track of anthem like proportions that will have your feet tapping and your head nodding in unison such is it’s pull. Excellent!

Out now in 7″ vinyl and digital formats.

And here is the original from 1988.
