A blog not as popular as it used to be!

Choir Division – At The Opera

The Hamburg Opera Chorsaal describe themselves as probably the world’s first and one and only choir to worship the music of Joy Division and New Order. There are some pretty dire cover versions of both bands to be found on Bandcamp but thankfully these recordings are not amongst them. The arrangements and the voices do these songs justice and it’s amazing how well they fit in a choral setting especially on Passover.

Available on a pay what you want basis from Bandcamp!

They also cover Atmosphere and provide us with a remixed version which works just as well, if not better, as Paul Haig’s effort with Outernationale did a few years back.
