Jetstream Pony – Out Of Reach

Here is a demo from Brighton/Croydon based Jetstream Pony. It’s the project of Shaun Charman (Wedding Present/Popguns/Fireworks) and also in the line up also features Beth Arzy (Trembling Blue Stars/Luxembourg Signal/The Fireworks) on vocals, Matthew Rimell (The Fireworks) on additional guitar, Kerry Boettcher (Turbocat) on bass and Sara Boyle on drums. Nice bit of cut and pasting that.

So what’s it sound like you say. Well (if you cannot be bothered to press play) it mixes indiepop and post-punk which gives the track a strong retro vibe but also manages to give it a new coat of paint so that it also sounds nice and fresh too. You will also hear snippets of the aforementioned bands and oh that bass is to die for.

If this is a demo I cannot wait to hear the finished tracks. And on that note the bands first single, as yet untitled, will be released via Kleine Untergrund Schallplatten in August. I am already in the queue!
