Forevr – Demonstration

An excellent debut EP from Brisbane duo Forever which gives a big nod to the influences of the likes of My Bloody Valentine and the Telescopes.  Indeed it could be a Creation Records time capsule from 1988. The EP has a distorted yet fragile sound which soon shatters like glass or falling icicles. The vocals are shimmering and beautiful as they fade in and out. Closing track Forgive is the pick of the bunch but in truth each one is an instant shoegaze classic. I can listen to this Forevr!

It’s available to buy in CD or cassette formats. Amazingly the digital version is free (or pay what you want to!).
