A blog not as popular as it used to be!

Crimson Wave – Say / Calling You 7″

crimsonwavesayIt’s hard not to think of the Deal sisters when listening to this excellent EP from Baltimore’s Crimson Wave as I can hear the likes of The Breeders and The Amps here. However that’s a lazy comparison to make but given that I keep stating this is not a review site it’s the best you are going to get out of me on a downcast Wednesday afternoon other than give it a listen, it’s great!

It’s out now on Accidental Guest Records or you can buy it digitally from the label’s bandcamp page. The digital version has a bonus track.

I have to think of Baltimore band Wildhoney who also deal a certain droning intensity — Crimson Wave and Wildhoney would make for a very intense double-header.

Okay, a quick check shows Wild Honey and Crimson Wave on the same Baltimore bill on Oct. 10., seems it was a fun time: https://www.facebook.com/events/889708147725642/
